Kinumpirma ng isang reliable source  na  hindi dadalo nina Senador Bong Go at Bato dela Rosa sa pulong ng PDP- Laban na ipinatawag ni party vice chairman Alfonso Cusi sa lunes dahil wala itong atas mula kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.  

Sa Konstitusyon ng PDP -Laban, ang Party  Chairman at Party President lamang ang maaring magpatawag ng  national council meeting. 

Marami ang nagtataka sa biglaang pagpapatawag ng pulong  ni  Cusi na siya ring kalihim ng Department of Energy (DOE). Isang certain Matibag ang nagmamadaling isulong ang illegal national meeting kung saan  isang national assembly ang  naka-planong isagawa sa Setyembre.

Si  Cusi ay dating kaaalyado ni dating Pangulong Gloria Arroyo at miyembro ng partido Lakas na sumapi sa PDP-LABAN kasama ang assistant nito na si Matibag sa panahon ng Administrasyong Duterte.

Ganun pa man, anuman ang maging kaganapan sa pulong sa lunes hindi ito matatawag na isang official national assembly  alinsunod sa party rules  at  magmimistula lamang siyang traditional "trapo".  Ito ay isang  malinaw na pagsunod ni Cusi sa  kautusan ng  kanyang dating amo bilang pagsuporta  kay Sara Duterte.
